ADVI Health Awarded Innovator License to Medicare, Medicaid, and Medicare Advantage Claims

Data includes 150M beneficiaries across all Part A, Part B, and Part D claims as well as Medicaid and Medicare Advantage

WASHINGTON, DC –– MAR. 2, 2021 –– ADVI Health, a leading healthcare consulting firm, has been awarded access to the 100% Medicare claims, Medicaid claims, and Medicare Advantage encounter data through CMS’ Virtual Research Data Center (VRDC).

The data covers almost half of the US population, representing 150 million beneficiaries over a 4-year period (2017-2020) with the Medicare claims updated monthly. The license includes access to newly released datasets: Medicaid T-MSIS and updated Medicare Advantage encounter data, as well as CMS’ chronic conditions warehouse.

ADVI’s license also includes CMS’ new COVID files that contain 100% of Medicare fee-for-service claims in all settings with a one-month lag. This allows for real-time analysis to evaluate the pandemics’ impact on beneficiary care and healthcare utilization. These data will give us visibility into all physician office, clinical lab fee schedule, and durable medical equipment claims.

“This data really opens up the possibilities for our clients,” said Caitlin Sheetz, Director and Head of ADVI Strategic Analytics and Value Economics (SAVES) Vertical. “Having the 100% files allows us to comprehensively evaluate treatment pathways for a wide variety of conditions and interventions. These data will help our clients better understand the current landscape and provide innovative therapies to patients.”
