As senior manager of precision medicine at ADVI Health, Janel supports clients in developing data-driven commercialization and market access strategies. She leverages her extensive background in clinical genetics, payer policy, and strategic planning to deliver tailored solutions. Janel is dedicated to enhancing patient outcomes by advancing access to precision medicine diagnostics and therapeutics.

Life Pre-ADVI Health:

Janel’s professional journey spans direct patient care as a genetic counselor in adult cardiology and neurology, clinical research, utilization management, and product development. Prior to joining ADVI, she served as a senior product manager at InformedDNA, where she led the design and implementation of innovative products that expanded access to genetic services across national health plans. Her work notably advanced population health initiatives and pharmacogenomic programs, impacting millions of lives.

Life Beyond ADVI Health:

Janel resides in eastern Iowa, near Iowa City, with her husband, two daughters, and their spirited rescue dog, Sadie. Outside of work, she enjoys family adventures, from discovering new playgrounds to sampling the region’s best ice cream spots. Janel is also a devoted Buffalo Bills fan, and loves attending University of Iowa sporting events—Go Hawks!

Janel brings a decade of expertise in clinical genetics, utilization management, payer policy, and product development to her role as senior manager of precision medicine at ADVI Health, which she joined in April 2025. She is passionate about expanding access to high-quality diagnostics and therapeutics to help fulfill the promise of precision medicine by improving outcomes for patients through innovative, scalable solutions.

Janel holds a Master’s degree in Human Genetics from the University of Cincinnati, and a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of South Florida. She is a licensed and board-certified genetic counselor, and an active diplomate of the American Board of Genetic Counseling.
